28 Grammar: Adverbs that Compare

29  marias mom tought her to bake bread  Maria’s mom taught her to bake bread.  her flower was sifted more sooner than mine  Her flour was sifted sooner than mine.

30  Pablo’s mother spoke louder than he did.  Louder is an adverb that compares. It ends with -er because it compares two actions.

31  You can use adverbs to compare actions.  The –er form of an adverb compares two actions.  The –est form of an adverb compares three or more actions.
