30 Simulated ISS Window Views Notes and Caveats: Windows omitted from this study do not appear to provide adequate views of the docked Orbiter. DOUG does not include built-in cameras for the Soyuz, Lab, and DC-1 windows. For these window views, a simulated camera was placed at known coordinates just outside the window. At the time of this study, DOUG does not have Node 2 configuration, so the orbiter was moved to reflect the extra ~ 22 feet of distance along the ISS velocity vector from ISS windows to Shuttle WLE. When possible, simulated window views were compared with actual on-orbit views to verify general placement/accuracy. Possible SSRMS, SRMS, or OBSS blockage of window views was not considered. Physical limitations/reduced space, which could hamper viewing depending on Photo/TV equipment, are not known for all windows. Windows assessed: 1. Soyuz forward/port window 2. US Lab window 3. DC-1 EVA hatch window
