OTHER FACILITY CONSIDERATIONS  Number of teaching stations  Should not exceed the number of classes scheduled in a period (outdoor fields DO NOT count as teaching stations in colder climates  How can you increase the number of teaching stations?  Some facilities can double as multiple teaching stations  Example: climbing wall in a pool or on an exterior wall  Conversely  DO NOT team teach or squeeze too many kids into a gym when other teaching stations are available (i.e. 9 v 9 volleyball)

8. OTHER FACILITY CONSIDERATIONS  Safety  Do not leave equipment lying around the side of the gym. Either store it or separate the area with mats  Consider safety door handles (not entirely accurate picture)  Never leave a gym unlocked b/c it is an attractive nuisance

10. OTHER FACILITY CONSIDERATIONS  Safety - Lines for general space  Never use the exterior wall as a border for an activity or any instruction. Use a line instead, typically the border of a basketball court  The general space ends approximately 2-3 feet from the wall
