Climate  The tropical rain forest is a very wet environment. There is no dry season. Rain falls nearly every day. The average temperature of a tropical rainforest is about 25° Celsius. The temperature during the day is around 30ºC - 35ºC. At night it drops to between 20ºC - 25ºC. http://www.globio.org/glossopedia/article.aspx?art_id= 6

Location  The tropical rain forest can be found in three major places around the world.  Central America in the the Amazon river basin.  Africa - Zaire basin, with a small area in West Africa; also eastern Madagascar.  Indo-Malaysia - west coast of India, Assam, Southeast Asia, New Guinea and Queensland, Australia. http://www.blueplanetbiomes.org/rainforest.htm

Dominate Animals  Spider monkeys live in the tropical rain forests of Central and South America and can be found as far north as Mexico. They have long, lanky arms and tails that enable them to move gracefully from branch to branch and tree to tree. These small monkeys spend most of their time aloft, and maintain a powerful grip on branches even though they have no thumbs. http://www.blueplanetbiomes.org/rainforest.htm

Types Of Vegetation  The tropical rainforest has an copious amount of different types of vegetation. Although different rainforests throughout the world have different kinds of vegetation life. Lianas are climbing vines that drape rainforest trees. They have adapted to life in the rainforest by growing their roots deep into the ground and growing higher into the tree stump to reach sunlight. http://www.enchantedlearning.com/subjects/rainforest/animals/Rfbiomeanimals.shtml

Positive and Negative Impacts  Pollution- The wildlife in the tropical rainforest is affected by pollution by human beings. It disturbs the balance of things in the Rainforest. It makes a beautiful place look ugly and polluted. Clear Cutting-Clear cutting is a big problem in rainforest especially since it takes nearly 25 years to re-grow a tree that was cut down.
