3.  A rainforest can get 200 to 300 inches of rain a year.  There are trees that grows up to be 250 feet tall.  There is not much that grows on the forest floor.  A rainforest now looks about the same as it did a million years ago.  The temperature in the rainforest is 70 to 80 degrees.  The rainforest is cool and dark at the bottom.

5.  Bromlaid is a type of plant that grows on trees and the forest floor.  In the rainforest you can find 7 different kinds of ferns.  Kapok trees can grow up to be 150 to 200 feet tall.  Bamboo is the largest grass in the world and is only found in the rainforest.  Sugar Cane is also found there and is 10 feet tall with lots of sugar.  Buttresses plants can rise 30 feet high into the rainforest.

6.  Anteaters have tongues to carry a baby.  Cook-of-the-Rock, which is a bird, builds nests on boulders.  A dragonfly’s wing span is up to 7 inches wide.  Humming birds have feathers that shimmer and shine.  Iguanas eat plants and insects.  The Urania Butterfly has colors to help them get a mate.
