The Statewide In-service Day (Friday, October 14, 2011) One (1) non-student contact day as follows: Secondary level will reduce by two (2), half (1/2) days, as Staff Development days (October 13, 2011 and March 9, 2012) Elementary level will reduce one (1) day, as Staff Development days (April 27, 2012) Reduce three (3) student contact days: February 13, Monday, 2012. April 16, Monday, 2012, and Eliminate the last full regular school day by moving the schedule of June 11- June 15, 2012, one day earlier. April 16 Might change to Thursday April 26, -take your child to work day

Freeze 2011-12 COLA for one year 2011 -12 no money in your pocket as a COLA In June 2012 the COLA will be applied to the salary schedule. 2012-13 COLA unaffected Overall, average reduction of 3.6% of your pay

Insurance The District would not agree to raise the monthly contribution amount, so next year the District will contribute $1063 per month toward SKEA members’ premiums. The premiums for OEBB Insurance Plans are averaging a 7% increase next year. The Insurance Committee is still working on selecting our plans for next year. What this means: Most likely your out-of-pocket contribution toward your Insurance will increase by $50-$100 a month.

The current package is $6.1 million of concessions We offered nearly $3 million of additional concessions – a total of almost $9 million Insurance opt out equaling $2.9 million Additional one time early retirement incentive Our membership had been “stretched” as far as possible with the reduction in their salary
