3 Mollie Mollie is a confident self-centered horse in the book. She is very proud of herself and often gets out of the work. She ends up leaving the farm to be with humans. Mollie represents the people who went with the fad for a while and didn’t do anything, but then ends up going back to how it was before. They liked how things used to be and they were very comfortable with their old life styles.

4 Snowball Snowball is a hardworking pig. He had a lot of great ideas for the farm and he didn’t get along with Napoleon after awhile. He did think more about the other animals and the well being of the farm, but he also went along with the special treatments for pigs. Snowball is a hardworking pig. 5 Old Major Old Major had a dream, a dream where all animals are equal and work together to run a farm and call it their own, but when Old Major died the dream went astray. When Old Major died his fellow pigs took his place and began to put the dream into action. Everything was going good, but each and every day the pigs slowly became more and more power hungry. 6 Boxer Boxer is a strong and lively horse who tries his hardest with his motto “I will work harder.” and “ Napoleon is always right.” Physically Boxer is the strongest animal out of all the animals living at Animal Farm, but by choosing not to think outside the box the leaders still have an extreme power over the animals. 7 Napoleon Napoleon is a powerful and greedy pig. He is a harsh and cruel leader. All he does is think about himself and the other pigs not concerned at all about the welfare of the others. 8 Squealer Squealer is Napoleon's right hand man. Everything Napoleon does, good or bad, and twists the truth to make it look better. Squealer spreads Napoleon’s propaganda. 9 Dogs The dogs guard Napoleon day and night to ensure that no harm comes upon him. The dogs are vicious causing all the animals to be afraid and keep their mouths shut! He had a strong and powerful army to keep him protected. Stalin took kids from families and raised them himself as an army. The dogs represent Stalin’s army. 10 Mr. Jones Mr. Jones is a drunken farmer who doesn’t take care of the animals on the farm and other responsibilities. He treats his animals harshly. The animals became angry with Jones and rebelled against him and drove him off the farm. Mr. Jones represents Tsar Nicholas 2nd. Tsar Nicholas the 2nd is the leader ousted in the Russian Revolution.

11 George Orwell Born in India in1903 (“Eric Blair”) He died 1950 (“Eric Blair”) “ “Orwell was born into a lower- middle-class family that struggled to provide him with an education” (“Eric Blair”) H His real name was Eric Blair When he was a year old they went back to England When he was 8 he went to boarding school which filled his memory with bad memories of beatings. His growing belief socialism led Orwell to become politically active. He died of Tuberculosis at age 47.
