Prisms A prism is a solid that is the same shape all the way a long its length.

We can work out the volume of a prism by finding the area of the front face and multiplying this by the length. Prisms Area of front face. = ½ of 6 x 4 = 12 cm 2. Volume of prism. = 12 cm 2 x 8 cm. = 96 cm 3. 6 cm 4 cm 8 cm
