5 OPTIONS Travel Your report must include all of the following: A description of the country and its capital city including landforms, climate and economy A description of the major tourism activities and attractions of the country (you may focus on one city) An analysis of the tourism industry in the country and locality where you will spending most of your time Who is the target market? How is tourism being promoted? Is the industry gaining or losing strength? Describe the sustainability efforts within the industry? How has the economy affected tourism? Include both the consumer and industry viewpoints and whether government spending and revenue collection has been impacted. Your analysis of the 5 and 10 year outlook. An analysis of your travel experience from the point of view of the service you received A PowerPoint or video presentation summarizing your findings The official tourism office in your locality will be the best resource for much of this, ex.: Puerto Rico Tourism Offices, La Princesa Bldg #2 Old San Juan, 1-800-866-7827 The following methods must be included: At least four interviews with tourism professionals with emphasis on point 3 from the above requirements A visit to four attractions (include brochures, pictures and history of the site) You are encouraged to add material and/or information that is pertinent to the country you are visiting.
