GENERAL INFORMATION State Law and UIL Rules Prohibit Any Athlete From Participating Without a Physical. All AISD & UIL Paperwork Must be Completed Prior to Participation Any child who does not have this completed by Tuesday, September 3 rd will be REMOVED from the Athletic Program.

GRADING POLICY The U.I.L. requires a student to pass every course in order to be eligible. If a student fails a class for the six weeks, that student is INELIGIBLE to participate in games for at least three weeks. If a student has ALL passing grades on his next progress report, he regains eligibility. Ineligible students are still required to practice. At Boles, a student may be removed from athletics if they fail 2 or more classes in 2 consecutive 6 weeks.

GENERAL INFORMATION AISD Policy Establishes that Jr. High Programs are Part of a Six Year Program. Junior High Programs Teach Terminology and Systems that Mirror the High Schools They Feed. We teach Martin High School schemes and techniques in all sports at Boles.

GENERAL INFORMATION Athletes must wear our PE/Athletic Uniform (shorts & t-shirt) We furnish all equipment and game uniforms. Students provide socks, shoes, and sports bras. Make sure your athlete uses her locker!!!

GENERAL INFORMATION If your child is going to miss practice, the parent MUST notify their Coach by phone 682-867-8030, 682-867-8000 (leave message) or email: sgoforth@aisd.net that day or prior.sgoforth@aisd.net If communicating by email, place ATTENDANCE in subject line. Unexcused absences will result in lost playing time and/or removal from team.

GENERAL INFORMATION Athletes that have prescription inhalers may bring them to athletics. They must have the proper documentation on file with the school nurse. Inhalers must have child’s name on them. We provide a place for them in the gym. Athletes need to pick them up after each practice.

GENERAL INFORMATION Practices are closed. Cell phone policy is in effect during school hours. If athletes lose equipment, you must pay for it. They must use their lockers!

TICKET PRICES $2.00 Adults $1.00 Students Season Passes $25.00. Good for access to all JUNIOR HIGH games excluding tournaments and playoffs. AISD Employees and their spouses/children get in free.

West Nile Virus Please be alert to its symptoms. If you or your child have symptoms that include stiff neck, high fever, or severe headache, contact your health-care provider immediately. Our coaching staff cannot apply insect repellants to children. Parents may apply repellants when appropriate.

7 th Grade Volleyball Four Teams Two A Teams Two B Teams Team placement decided by coaches upon evaluation prior to first scrimmage. Team placement may change during season.

Volleyball 7 th Grade try-outs will begin the second day of school. Volleyball practice begins at 7:30 AM each morning. Athletes need to arrive and enter doors by tennis courts by 7:15 AM and be suited out in the gym by 7:30. Do NOT drop your child off or have them arrive prior to 7:15 AM. 7th Grade Volleyball

If your child has fine arts sectionals, she must come to volleyball practice and bring her instrument to the gym. We dismiss her to sectionals. She returns to practice after sectionals. 7th Grade Volleyball

Game Nights Are on Mondays and Thursday Athletes are not allowed to leave campus after school on game days. Food – Keep it Light!!! Please bring food to the cafeteria prior to 3:45 PM. (name on food) 7th grade athletes are to come by the cafeteria after 7th period to pick up their food on their way to the locker room. 7th Grade Volleyball BB

Athletes must be picked up within 15 minutes of return to school after games. Athletes must ride the bus to games,unless prior arrangements have been made. Fridays are study hall days. She will be in athletic study hall for first period and will then go to class. 7th Grade Volleyball BB

7 th Grade Volleyball is truly competitive in the AISD. We will play to win. There is no guarantee of playing time. Players may move up or down the roster or from team to team based upon performance in practice and games. 7th Grade Volleyball Major Changes BB

Volleyball tryouts will begin the first day of school. Volleyball try-out and practice begins at 3:15 PM each afternoon. Pick up your child after practice no later than 5:15 PM. 8th Grade Volleyball

If you must pick up your athlete and take them from 7 th period Athletics, please do so at the beginning of the period. It is very difficult to find and retrieve your student if we are on the fields and have begun workouts. This applies to all sports including off- season. 8th Grade Volleyball BB
