Increase awareness of the structure of the Louisiana Comprehensive Curriculum and other relevant regulations; and Utilize references to applicable resources at the Texas and Louisiana Departments of Education websites.

Louisiana’s Curriculum
Curriculum built on concept of rigorous and challenging content standards Frameworks developed in early 1990s: ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies, FLA, and the Arts. In 2005, Comprehensive Curriculum developed based on Grade Level Expectations (GLEs).

GLEs: Statements of what students should know and be able to do (Pre-K, ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies) by the end of each grade level Comprehensive Curriculum: Includes instructional units focusing on GLEs with a time frame, sample activities and sample assessments.
