GENERAL INFORMATION Academics: STUDENT-Athlete Expect MORE effort/responsibility/time management than a non-athlete May ask for time off from practice, BUT YOU SHOULDN’T HAVE TO If you have less than a 2.0 at any grading period starting with the 1 st semester you are ineligible for THE NEXT 6 WEEKS No academic probation will be offered

FUNDRAISING / GEAR Baseball Spirit Pack Each player will raise $250 You get 2 navy Baseball t-shirts, 1 navy dry-fit shirt, 1 fitted hat, 1 pair of navy shorts, and 1 Majestic sweatshirt/fleece

PRESEASON WORKOUTS Preseason Workouts / Conditioning Offseason conditioning: Sign up sheet passed around – November-December 14th Daily January 7th – January 25 th One hour, 2 days a week, with 1 coach per 4 players, plus throwing / conditioning the other days Schedule will be posted in December 2:45-5:00pm Bring hat, glove, cleats, bat, running shoes, shorts OK (except for catchers on catcher days)

TRYOUTS Tryouts: 1 st official day of practice is January 28th Practice will be M-F at 2:45 every day until games start 1 st Round Cuts at end of 1 st Week 2 rounds of cuts February 16 th (before Alumni Game) Final round after Winter Sports athletes come out If you don’t make the team you may tryout next year

JANUARY 28th: 1 ST OFFICIAL DAY 1 st Day Expectations (January 28th) Dress: Grey baseball pants, navy belt, Branham Baseball hat, Navy Branham Baseball shirt, navy baseball socks Be in shape Bring running shoes everyday

Getting Cleared to Tryout on 1/28 Schedule a sports physical with your pediatrician, family doctor, or physician. Bring a copy of the Athletic Participation Form (copies may be found in the main office or at http://branhamathletics.olinesports.com, click Links/Forms at the top) with you and have your doctor fill out the Medical Examination portion of the form. You and your parents must fill out the rest of the form. http://branhamathletics.olinesports.com You and your parents/guardians must read and sign the Student/Athlete Code of Conduct and the Concussion Form which may be found in the main office or at http://branhamathletics.olinesports.com (click Links/Forms at the top). http://branhamathletics.olinesports.com Bring your completed copies of the Athletic Participation Form, Student/Athlete Code of Conduct and Concussion Form to the main office. The secretaries will accept your completed forms and check your GPA to ensure your eligibility, as well as your student bill report to make sure you have no outstanding student bills. Once you are cleared, the secretaries will hand you your blue Athletic Clearance Form. You need to hand this form to your coach in order to be cleared to tryout/practice.

FUNDRAISING Each player will raise $250 This covers your participation cost, gear package, and Branham Baseball needs Make sure you have both fundraising sheets before you leave today Funds are due 1/28, so get on it now!

CHECKLIST Completed Player Profile, leave with Coach Jacobs Completed Player Knowledge Quiz, leave with Coach Rossetta Have both fundraising sheets in hand TAKE THEM ALL HOME TO YOUR PARENTS! Coaches will contact you re: preseason conditioning January workout schedule will be posted in early December
