Excel TGI Golf Game The golf game consists of a 9-hole golf course and a Clubhouse (scorecard). Each hole looks different but in general, plays the same way. You can play the rules of Golf, allowing the player furthest from the hole to hit (be delivered the next question). Answering questions correctly results in a better shot and eventually a lower score on each hole. Watch out though, a wrong answer can land you Out of Bounds and cost you valuable strokes!
7
The Setup screen A drop list allows you set set the time you have alloted to play. This allows you to toggle the sound on and off. This button will send you to the Clubhouse. This where you need to go to start the game. The Question buttons will take you to the sheets where the questions are stored that the game uses. One sheet for each level of questions. You can add and edit questions here but we recommend you do this using the TGI Questions.xls file which comes with the game. This button will let you import a group of questions from a separate file. Here you can import pre- packaged question sets from TGI or create your own question files using the TGI Questions.xls file that comes with each game (recommended). Here where you will type in in the names of the participants in your training class NOW I will push this button and go to the Clubhouse.

The Clubhouse (Scorecard) Press this button to erase the scores and reset the clock to the time set on the Setup screen. This button takes you back to the Setup screen. And this button displays a popup box with the rules on it. Suitable for describing the game to the participants. The gold button will erase the scores only - it will not reset the clock or reset the questions to start over again. A great way to have tie- breaker or finish the questions. Clicking on one of the Holes on the scorecard will take you to that hole. I will do that now.
9
The Course Press this button to return to the Clubhouse (Scorecard). Pressing either the Yellow or Red button will start the shot process for a player or team. All holes are different but the object is to get the ball in the hole. The following affect your shot: 1.) The club you select. 2.) A little luck. 3.) … and most importantly, if you answer the question CORRECTLY! Watch out for the traps and water. But even if you get in one of them - you can still hit out of it. As you play, your progress is shown here. If both teams finish a hole - you are automatically taken back to the Scorecard to choose another hole to play. If a single player is using the game - you need to press the “To Clubhouse button” to return to the Scorecard.
10
The question and answers are repeated for training and review purposes along with the correct answer and a LARGE Correct or Wrong at the top of the screen. The Pop-ups Click the mouse to go through the popups. Click the mouse to go through the popups. The first popup is to select the club to use. An Auto Club Select button has been added for the non-golfers. If you select a really wrong club for the situation - the program defaults to the Auto Select. When the ball goes in the hole - this screen appears to tell you how you did. The graphics change depending upon how many shots it took to finish the hole. That’s it! It’s fun, easy and educational. The next popup is the question. Click the Correct > button to select the answer you think is right.
