The Embassy staff warned the State Dept of impending danger in Libya. (they were ignored) The Libyan embassy requested 13 times for increased security. (It was denied) Ambassador Chris Stevens was standing outside the embassy compound saying good night to a visiting dignitary 30 minutes before the attack. (there was no protest) There were 230 separate attacks against western assets in Libya prior to the Sept 11 th murder of Ambassador Stevens, Sean Smith, Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods. (these early attacks were deemed insignificant and downplayed by the Obama administration.) One week before the attacks, intelligence officers warned of an increase in Al-Qaeda activity in Libya. Obama skipped half of the National Security Briefings prior to the attack and skipped the one the day after the attack, instead, he went to Las Vegas for a campaign event. House Resolution 36House Resolution 36 any intelligence known to the United States relating to the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, on September 11, 2012; any requests for additional security, or actions taken by federal agencies to improve security at the consulate before the attack; a definitive timeline of it; how the relevant agencies and the executive branch responded to it and whether appropriate congressional notifications were made; any improper conduct by officials relating to the attack; recommendations on what steps Congress and the President should take to prevent future attacks; and any other relevant issues relating to the attack or the response to it.
