PARENT RESPONSIBILITIES: Students are well fed and well rested. Encourage your child to study and do all assignments. Persuade your child to follow all class rules and to use appropriate discipline if your child misbehaves. Keep all lines of communication open with your child. Know what’s going on your child’s life. Don’t Panic. This phase of your child’s life shall soon pass. (We hope)
31
STUDENT RESPONSIBILITIES: Attend class daily in an attitude of learning Respect others’ right to learn by observing the class rules. Should not talk or get out of seat without permission, throw things, exhibit a defiant attitude, or ridicule or bother other students. Come prepared with notebook, materials, and assignments every day. Copy all assignments into student Assignment Notebook. If absent, must make up missing assignments. Achieve the best possible grade - seek help when difficulty arises.
32
TEACHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Show respect to all students. Develop self-discipline and love of learning within the students. Challenge students to reach beyond what they believe they can achieve. Somehow get the students through the difficult years of adolescence without too much suffering (on my part, as well)
33
RETENTION POLICY: Will be retained if student: Receives an “F” in either a Math or English class Before student is retained, the student will have an opportunity to make up the “F” by attending summer school.
