Stretching For the Goal In stretching for a goal, one of the struggles we encounter is sustaining what we have. Paul puts it like this: “Only let us live up to what we have already attained”

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them!

The Conscience “The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children.” Rom.8:16 “Since they show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts now accusing, now even defending them.” Rom.2:15 “Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” Psa.139:23-24
