The ES is the focal point for performance management and strategic planning for Personnel and Readiness

For Official Use Only Wounded, Ill and Injured Senior Oversight Committee DRAFT Mission: The Executive Secretariat (ES) serves as the official DoD forcing function for coordination and dissemination on all matters related to Service members, veterans and their families. The ES has the compelling and monitoring function of the Senior Oversight Committee and the Joint Executive Council activities to ensure recommendations and mandates are implemented on a timely basis. The ES coordinates the DoD wounded warrior messages and ensures that DoD is using the appropriate messenger on this topic. The ES directs and monitors the development of performance measures and strategic planning for all Personnel and Readiness entities to ensure the efficacy of the Department’s policies and programs.
