Developing a Stakeholder Analysis Stakeholder Role Definitions Customer of the process: Role/person that receives an output to a process or a process step Process owner: Role/person responsible for the design, continuous improvement and sustaining the process. Decision-maker/ Approver: Role/person that has the authority to give approval Target of the change: Role/person that is directly impacted by a proposed change Interested party: Role/person who has a recognizable stake in the outcome of a process, but may not be directly involved in the process Supplier to the process: Role/person that is providing input to the system

Tips Don’t get hung up on “where people are” – Concentrate on strategies to get them where they need to be. Figure out which stakeholders have veto power. Define the Process Owner/s

Forming a Team Look to Stakeholder Analysis – Pick team Members from Roles/Locations on Analysis Make sure team has the “touches” of your process/problem Involve a Facilitator Include an Executive Sponsor/Champion
