What is a QR code? A QR Code is a two-dimensional barcode that is readable by smartphones or other handheld devices. QR Codes may be used to display: o text o URL o contact information o email

To read QR Codes, you need an appropriate software installed on your phone or tablet. Android-based devices, you can use Barcode Scanner by ZXing.Barcode Scanner iOS-Devices like iPhones there are also QR Code readers available on the AppStore, for Example i-nigma.i-nigma Firefox OS try QR Code ScannerQR Code Scanner Symbian devices, you can use Mobiletag barcodes readerMobiletag barcodes reader

How to scan: Once you have the reader: Open the app, which will activate your device’s camera function. Aim at the QR code and hold still for a few seconds while the camera focuses. An option to go to the information should pop up once the reader has captured it. Welcome to another resource treasure!

1 st Annual ELC QR Scavenger Hunt ! If you have a QR ready device, invite someone who doesn’t have one to hunt with you. If you don’t have a QR ready device, invite someone who does have one to hunt with you. Each group member has a specific task. Switch tasks after each Code is found. o Scanner: holds the device & scans the codes o Seeker: looks for the Codes o Decoder: reads the clues & codes o Note-taker: makes notes for the group

Generate 4 QR Codes Create one of each QR Codes : o URL o Text o Contact o Email

Gallery Walk On your monitor, display one of the QR codes that you have generated. At the signal, class members will walk the room and scan the newly created QR codes. Take notes and prepare two or three questions about the QR Codes displayed. Be prepared to talk about your code.
