Dear Prospective Sponsor, The Brock U Marketing Association (BUMA) is a creative organization of experienced and highly motivated students. We strive to provide students with exceptional learning opportunities through community projects, competitions, and workshops. It is with great pleasure that I invite you to join us as a partner for the current 2014-2015 academic year. Our goal is to provide your organization with an engaging and rewarding opportunity. With a reach of over 2500 undergraduate business students, your company will gain exposure to an ambitious student population. This past year, we were successful in expanding our initiatives by increasing membership involvement. This year we will strive to further advance our association by anticipating the needs of our students and offering new inclusive programming. This package provides you with additional information about BUMA and a list of all available opportunities for your organization in the 2014-2015 academic year. Community Marketing Projects Organizations in the St. Catharines community and Brock University enlist the help of BUMA to fulfill their marketing needs. Whether you require detailed marketing plans, grass root level campaigns, or planned and launched events, our Strategy, Promotions or Special Events team can help you. Events and Initiatives Meet And Greet (September) Approximately 50 students BUMA welcomes returning and new students arriving to Brock University with a friendly gathering. We will present BUMA’s plans for the year and provide information on how students can get involved. General Member Workshops (Weekly) Approximately 30 students BUMA will present a marketing themed message at each workshop. Following the keynote presentation, students will have the opportunity to collaborate with their peers in engaging activities. PepsiCo Apprentice Challenge ( November) Approximately 50 students Four teams are selected to analyze and present a marketing case in front of an executive panel of judges from PepsiCo. The winning team will receive interviews for a summer internship position at PepsiCo. Students are encouraged to attend to support their peers as they present their solutions to the case.

How To Get A Job In Sales and Marketing (January) Approximately 60 students This is an event featuring Brock alumni and other industry professionals who work in the Sales and Marketing fields. Students get the opportunity to learn about career paths and industry trends as well as network with the panel speakers. End of the Year Social (March) Approximately 30 students To show our appreciation to our loyal general members and volunteers, BUMA takes a group of students bowling free of cost. This event is held to thank the current members for all their hard work and to attract members for the following year. Events and Initiatives Brock U Marketing Association Heart and Stroke Fundraiser (February) Campus wide In conjunction with Heart month, BUMA will be running a number of events and activities throughout the month to raise money for the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Portfolio Workshop (February) Approximately 10 students Members of the BUMA executive team participate in a tailored workshop put on by Goodman Career. Students will learn how to leverage LinkedIn to create a professional online marketing portfolio.
