The 9 MV Tandem Built by High Voltage Engineering Corporation (HVEC) in 1973, upgraded from the original terminal voltage of 7.5 MV (FN machine) to 9 MV. Major upgrades during the last years. Ion sources: SNICSII sputter negative ion source source for negative helium ions MC-SNICSII sputter negative ion source dedicated for AMS HV generator: pelletron system; Voltage: 9 MV Available beams: p (2 – 18 MeV), a (3 – 27 MeV) a broad range of heavy ions Pulsing systems: milliseconds: chopper nanoseconds: chopper + buncher NSDD Meeting, KFAS, Safat, Kuwait, January 27-31, 2013

Advertisement The ERINDA consortium groups 13 partners, equipped with nuclear data research infrastructures. The project sponsors the transnational access for experiments performed at any of the 13 facilities. The TANDEM accelerator of IFIN-HH is part of ERINDA. Conclusions The 9 MV Tandem accelerator in Bucharest delivers a large variety of stable beams. The facility was completely modernized during the last years. A large variety of detecting devices are available: The RoSphere array with up to 25 HPGe detectors and/or LaBr3 detectors, Clover detectors, A plunger device, Neutron detectors. We are particularly well equipped for nuclear lifetime measurements. Financial support is available for certain type of measurements. Two PAC meetings /year; usually the requested beam time represents 150%-200% of the available beam time. NSDD Meeting, KFAS, Safat, Kuwait, January 27-31, 2013
