2 INTRODUCTION  The purpose of this training is to help conference presenters infuse diversity and cultural competency content into their workshops.  Just as ethics and confidentiality are core components of social work practice, diversity and cultural competency are key elements in all areas of social work education and practice.  Both NASW and CSWE place great emphasis on the importance of infusing diversity and cultural competency throughout the social work profession.
