Racism is not only personal attitudes and behaviors but systematic practice of denying people access to rights, representation, or resources based on racial differences. Racial discrimination is the practice of letting a person's race or skin color unfairly become a factor when deciding who receives a job, promotion, or other employment benefit

Studies show that police are more likely to pull over and frisk blacks or Latinos than whites. In New York City, 80% of the stops made were blacks and Latinos, and 85% of those people were frisked, compared to a mere 8% of the white people stopped. It most often affects minority individuals who feel they have been unfairly discriminated against in favor of a Caucasian individual, but there have been recent cases where whites have claimed that reverse discrimination has occurred. Reverse racism refers to discrimination against whites, usually in the form of programs meant to advance ethnic minorities such as affirmative action.

According to survey by the U.S education department, public school students of color get more punishment and less access to veteran teachers than their white peers 5% of white students were suspended annually, compared with 16% of black students White men with a criminal record are more likely to be called back for a job interview than black men with no record, even when their education and experience are the same. Students of color are far less likely to be put in honors courses even after you take test scores and grades into account

Racism is a personal sin and social disorder that revolves around the belief that one race is superior to another. It is a sin that divides the human family and damages the image of God among specific groups within that family and violates the basic human dignity of God’s children. Racism mocks the words of Jesus “Treat others the way you would have them treat you”. Religious, social, economic, political and historical power is required to make sure all races are equal and privileged.
9
