Overview 1. PBX to PBX networking
Easy Programming Overview 1. PBX to PBX networking PBX to PBX networking of KX-NS1000 supports full feature transparency like TDE600-TDE620 connection. - Max.16 KX-NS1000 can be connected for one-look connection. - Both master unit and slave unit are “KX-NS1000”. - Slave unit can be installed in remote location. - Slave unit has to be registered to master unit like IP-PT registration. Programming is very easy because it is same as IP-PT registration. TDE620 is connected with TDE600 by cable. Master Register Slave Max. 15 slave NS1000 cab be registered to one master NS1000. Digital PT IP-PT Digital PT is connected with PBX by cable. IP-PT is registered to PBX. CO (NY) IP Network IP Network CO (LA) . Register CO (SF)

Overview 2. Master / Slave Indicator
The PBX mode (Master or Slave) is indicated by LED. Indicators <Master Unit> <Slave Unit> Software version and suffix such as “BX” have to be same for both main unit and slave unit. BATT ALARM MASTER 3

3-1 Easy Setup Wizard -1 Slave Unit Initialize KX-NS1000 Slave unit by default clear. And connect PC with KX-NS1000 Slave unit in order to start “Easy Setup Wizard”. 1 Location Setting Screen 1. Select “Slave” as a PBX type, and specify the IP address of the Master. * 2. Click “Next”. * If the slave is located on the same network with the Master, it is unnecessary to specify the IP address of the Master.

Site name is fixed. (Will be downloaded from the Master.) 2. Set Time Zone and Local Time of slave unit. 3. Click “Next”. 3 3. LAN Setting Screen Set the LAN settings for the slave unit. 2. Click “Next”.

To register to master unit, click “OK”. Registration mode of master unit has to start before or after this step. See chapter 4. If trial activation key is expired, standard activation key is required. Step 1. Default Clear. Step 2. Set master mode by Easy setup. Step 3. Install activation key after Easy setup. Step 4. Default Clear and set slave mode by Easy setup.

5-1 Demo or test after setup
Call SLT extension in master from SLT extension in slave. - Since SLT is connected with Master unit or Slave unit directly, it is better for demo to use SLT. - Extension number of SLT can be confirmed by Web-MC. See next page. Off hook + 103 SLT (Ext 101) SLT (Ext 102) SLT (Ext 103) SLT (Ext 104) If IP phone is using extension number, 103, 104…., smallest idle numbers are assigned to SLT automatically.

5-2 Site ID Site ID is displayed to know location (Unit). - The “Site ID” is displayed for “CO Line Settings”, “DIL Table & port Settings”, “Doorphone”, “External Relay” and “External Sensor”. Extension Setting example

5-3 Slave setting through Master Setting for slave unit is available through master unit. - For example, virtual IP card for slave unit can be installed, when Web-MC logs in to master PBX. Slave unit can be selected. Master Slave

5-4 Direct Log-in to branch unit
