Safe Behaviors Be sure they know safe behavior in a shop or the pit Wear safety goggles Leave a safe distance between working student and others watching, etc. Don’t distract someone working with a tool or a piece of equipment Page 5August 6-7, 2012

Equipment Usage Know the safe way to use the equipment Make sure they know how to operate a tool or piece of equipment before they turn it on Have them plan what they are going to do and how they are going to do it before they start Don’t rush… take their time Page 6August 6-7, 2012
