11. Differences between China and America There are tons of differences between China and America. One of them is how the two different cultures tell time. In America, they use clocks and months, years and days. In China, they use the year of the boar, dragon, etc. Another difference is In China, they go to school based on how many years of school you have completed instead of age. Also, in China the women bound their feet because it was thought beautiful to have small feet. In China, you aren’t allowed to break anything during the holidays because it is believed to be bad luck for the next year but in America, we break a lot of things during the holidays, like ornaments. Finally, in China, they punish the children much more harshly, for little things.

12. China’s Little Ambassador Shirley Temple Wong is the only Chinese girl at school. That is why Mother called her China’s little ambassador; she was representing China so she needed to be good.
