The BIG Question Who is in our class, how does it work and what are the basics we need to know before we get into our study of World History?

Investigative Questions Question 1: Who are the people in our class and how can they be described? Question 2: What are some specific examples of how our class will run? Question 3: What are the 7 continents and 4 oceans? Question 4: What are similarities and differences between them? Question 5: How does the world around us compare to Dixon? Question 6: In what ways are flat maps problematic? Question 7: What is the difference between lines of latitude and lines of longitude? Question 8: Name the 4 different hemispheres and identify which continents are located in each of them. Question 9: How does using a scale, compass rose, and a key/legend help you read a map? Question 10: What are some of the significant unresolved problems in the world today?
