2.  A society is a group of people in a particular geographic area who share certain laws and rules, and who agree to relate to each other in certain ways.  Culture: a set of ideas and behaviours handed down from one generation to the next and shared among a group of people.  Ex. If you moved to France, you would live in French society, and would have to conform to French laws. But, you would still behave for the most part, like a Canadian.
