Overview What is PantherFile? PantherFile is a new, innovative way for you to store, maintain, and share your documents and files using an Internet-based service. PantherFile is available to any UWM student, faculty, or staff member with an active ePanther ID. PantherFile will help to decrease the load on email servers and promote ease in revising files in a central repository. I don’t know what PantherFile is.
6
Features of PantherFile When you login to PantherFile you will find the following features: easy document and file storage, sharing, and email hyperlinks. Click on each of the following links for information about each feature. Easy document and file storage Easy document and file storage Secure document and file sharing Secure document and file sharing Email hyperlinks Email hyperlinks Click on the next button to advance to the next topic.
7
PantherFile Features Easy document and file storage With PantherFile you can save files on a UWM server that is accessed through any Internet-browser on, or off campus. Easy document storage! Wow!
8
PantherFile Features Secure document and file sharing PantherFile provides security for your files by allowing you to choose sharing options for each file stored. This means you decide who has access to stored files. You also determine whether the files are read-only or can be downloaded by others to use and edit as needed.
9
PantherFile Features Email Hyperlinks Rather than attaching documents to email, you upload documents to PantherFile and then send out an email hyperlink to the document. This reduces the load on email servers, particularly when you are sending to multiple people. This feature also allows revisions to the document stored in PantherFile, then you will notify recipients via an email hyperlink rather than resending the document.
10
