Focusing Question: How and where can you find evidence to make your editorial persuasive? Strategy: To choose the type of evidence that best fits your issue and opinion by looking for facts and statistics, quotations and personal stories.

For each, think about: –What might I use this type of evidence for? –How might this type of evidence support my claim? Or my persuasive technique? –What would convince my audience?

Decide which types of evidence you want. 3.Decide on keywords that will help you find evidence. Jot these keywords in your notebook. 4.Search online for evidence that: supports your claim persuades your audience. 5.Record URLs with useful evidence.
