SIEMENS ICN D CS D53 May, 2015 Lode Coene (lode.coene@siemens.atea.be) SIGTRAN 4 Signalling transport over SCTP applicability statement  It describes the specifics of transporting signalling over SCTP  The signalling transport over SCTP AS was previously known as the SS7-over-IP AS.  It should be more general : M3UA, M2UA, M2UA-peer, IUA, SCUA  Consists of 3 parts:  Signalling transport using SCTP:adaptation layers, multihoming, congestion issues….  Adaptation layers in detail  addressing and naming (how to get from here to there, : IP addresses and names, SS7 addresses and names, usage, role of DNS  Not out yet, a first draft will be out after Adelaide.
