Determine your Back Azimuth You will First need to know your Azimuth If your azimuth is less than 180 you will need to add 180 More than 180 you will need to subtract 180 Example – Your azimuth is 45 degrees or 225 degrees 45+180=225 225-180=45

Use your Compass to Orientate your Map Find a flat non Metallic surface to lay your Map out. Find a North South Grid Line on Your Map Align the straight edge of your Compass on the North South Grid Line. Turn entire Map till Compass Faces North Adjust using your G-M Angle Chart Your Map is Now Orientated to Magnetic North
