Some Conclusions from Nov 2009 Ensure clear interconnection plane and clearance in order to allow installation and removal of one module between two others Decide if main beam quadrupoles transported and installed separately Consider whole installation sequence covering supports, alignment equipment and interfaces between girders and their supports Module mock ups should be used to test installation issues (this will increase focus on installation problems during design). 12 CLIC module Working Group Keith Kershaw 27 Sept 2010

Conclusions (basically as Nov 2009) Ensure clear interconnection plane and clearance Consider how main beam quadrupoles transported and installed Don’t forget lifting points, support points and transport restraints Consider whole installation sequence covering supports, alignment equipment and interfaces between girders and their supports (Full sequence starts with assembly) Test modules should be used to (design for + ) test installation issues e.g. with overhead crane or hoist Installation of other items in tunnel still to be considered. 23 Nov 200917 CLIC module Working Group Keith Kershaw
