UNIQUENESS OF THE BIRTH OF CHRIST ‘Seed of the woman’ – Genesis 3:15

This unique usage was a prophetic indication of the BIRTH OF CHRIST Gen. 3:15 as confirmed in Gal. 4:4.. ‘But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman………’ Only Jesus Christ is Named as 'Seed of the Woman’ All other human beings are born of man and woman- 'seed of both man and woman' SEED OF THE WOMAN

Sexual reproduction involves the union of male (sperm) and female(ovum) gametes Each of the gametes has single haploid set of chromosomes Union of gametes produce a diploid zygote and the process is called fertilization NATURAL PROCESS OF BIRTH

But the birth of Christ was unique - The male sperm did not unite with ovum. God specially created a zygote and implanted in the womb of Mary. (Heb. 10:5) "...a body hast thou prepared me" BIRTH OF JESUS

Mary is the first surrogate mother! A surrogate mother has no genetic relation with fetus. Couples who desire to have genetically their own child 'hire' a womb of a healthy woman This woman will give birth to the child but there is no genetical similarity, hence a surrogate mother MARY A SURROGATE MOTHER!

Similarly, God choose Mary as a surrogate mother to give birth to Jesus. Even though Jesus Christ was born from the womb of Mary, there is no mixing of blood or even any other characteristics of Mary Placenta acts as a wall between the blood of mother and the fetus

Function of Placenta Placenta acts as a wall

Placenta acts as a wall between mother's blood and fetus

Generally, Blood of the baby is developed according the genetic make up acquired from parents In the case of a surrogate mother, there is no relation with the fetus whereas a womb acts as a safe place for the baby to grow and placenta does transfer the nutrition and oxygen from mother to fetus. Jesus Christ came into the world through a 'hired womb' and left the world from a 'hired tomb'

Dr. Luke records, "Gabriel, was sent from God....to a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; the virgin's name was Mary. Lk.1:26-27 Mary was a virgin (Gk. Parthenon) and 700 years before the birth of Christ, God revealed it through the prophet Isaiah (7:14) "Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel."

Parthenogenesis means virgin birth Phenomena of parthenogenesis is common among the invertebrate animals For instance, Drone bees in the Honey bee colony is produced by parthenogenesis Here ovum develops without fertilization Artificial parthenogenesis is successfully experimented in certain higher animals including Mammals but not in man "For with God nothing shall be impossible".Lk.1:37

1.Espousal 2.Wedding 3.Wedding feast

Period between espousal and wedding may extend up to an year or more During this period both boy and girl prepare themselves for the forth coming marriage Boy is looking for a Mansion to stay after marriage and girl is preparing a mantle to wear during the wedding ESPOUSAL OR ENGAGEMENT

As per Jewish law the couple was not permitted to have any sort of physical contact during this period. As per Mosaic law if the virgin was found with any such allegations of inappropriate relationship, the espousal will remain null and void. Boy can take any one of the two steps: 1.He can divorce her privately (Deut.24:1;Mat.19:7-8) 2. He can take the matter publicly for capital punishment. Deut.22:23-24 Thus the Jewish social family setups are designed in such a way that the girl child is brought up so carefully to prevent any sort of allegations that will end up in capital punishments.

Joseph opted first one." Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example (Capital Puniushment), was minded to put her away privately." Thus, assumption of any sort of physical relationship between Joseph and Mary is ruled out.

Virgin birth of Jesus is the foundational doctrine of Christian faith. Mary was truly a virgin untouched by a man brought up by her parents in the context of Jewish family customs. Heb.10:5 reads "....but a body hast thou prepared me" that means God prepared a special body (zygote), that is devoid of Adamic nature; sinless and without blemish. VIRGIN BIRTH OF JESUS

Being a medical doctor Luke was extremely careful in recording the birth of Christ He emphasizes on the virginity of Mary Mary was not just a girl but a virgin (Gk. Parthenon) Gabriel was sent from God....to a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary.

Then said Mary to the angel, How shall this be,(to have a child) seeing I know not a man? (not having sexual relationship) And the angel answered and said to her, The Holy Ghost shall come on you, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow you: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of you shall be called the Son of God. Luke 1:34-35

Jesus Christ is sinless in absolute sense Paul the thinker said about Christ,..he "knew not sin" 2Cor.5:21 Peter a man of action said,.."He did no sin"2Pet.2:22 John a man of emotions said..." in Him there is no sin" 1Jn.3:5 SINLESS SAVIOUR

WHY GOD BECAME A SINLESS HUMAN All other human beings are inherently sinful as they are born in this world as a result of the natural fertilization of ovum when joined with sperm But only the blood of Christ Jesus was without sin..blood of bulls, goats and ashes purifies only the flesh Heb.9:13-14 But "the blood of Jesus Christ his son cleanseth us from all sin" 1Jn.1:7 because the blood that shed on the cross was sinless

"if we confess our sins, he is Faithfull and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness". 1Jn.1:9 WHAT SHOULD BE YOUR RESPONSE?
