4. Vocabulary Notes  Note-taking:  You are about to see sentences and pictures of vocabulary words. As we look at each word, on the right side of your paper:  Write “Student:” and then what YOU think the word means.  For now, focus on guessing what the words mean based on the context clues in the sentences and pictures, don’t worry about the dictionary definition (that comes later).  There are no wrong answers for “Student Definitions” – it’s just to help you remember the definitions, making guesses with your own words.  You will be tested on these words in three weeks, so be sure to spell correctly!
