Who is it about? What is it trying to say? What might be happening?

4. THE FACTS (TRUE STORY):
The article is about a man named David Green who designed a special form of powdered milk for humans to drink
Green believes that his powdered milk is more beneficial for humans
He believes that he can pack a lot more nutrients into the powdered milk than you would get from consuming regular cow milk
Relates it to the idea of how we feed our pets dog or cat food rather than what they would eat in the wild

Much like we talked about last lesson with the media, headlines on articles, newspapers, or other literacy pieces can give off the wrong impressions

“ENRAGED COW INJURES FARMER WITH AX”

8. Your Job – Write your own article!
You will each be given a Headline, but not the article that goes with it
You will be writing the article for what you believe the headline may be about
Think about the example we did at the beginning of the class
consider these things:
Who is the article about? What is happening? Where is it happening? Why is it happening?
Aim for 1-2 paragraphs to complete your article

While reading this article, consider the real story to the story that you created
Think about whether or not you were mislead by the headline
