Pronouns must agree with their antecedents in person and in number. I gave the glove to Janet. I gave it to her. Pronoun = it; antecedent = glove Pronoun = her; antecedent = Janet

If the kid really doesn’t like something, he is going to do what he wants. OR If the kid really doesn’t like something, she is going to do what she wants.

Careful of pronouns. Be sure that the antecedent of the pronoun is clear. They went over to their house so they could take care of it. Who are “they”? What is “it”?
