What is being done? Drink Safe Technology has invented small cards and test strips to test your drink no matter where you are. Self defense courses for women In Australia there is a campaign called “Drug Rape-Watch yourself, watch your friends”. Information is being posted in multiple public locations to help potential victims. There are more harsh consequences for date rape drugs used that render the victim unconscious and limit memory

Characteristics of a Victim 12-18 year olds represent the largest group of victims at 33% More than 86% of victims are females The residence of the victim as the most commonly noted location of the sexual assault (70%). Other common locations included schools, hotel/motels, fields, woods, parking lots, roadways, and commercial/office buildings. In 77% of cases a personal weapon was used (hands, feet, or fists) No weapons was noted in 14% of assaults 14% of all victims are between the ages of 18 and 24

Facts Date rape is the most common form of rape One in Four girls are expected to be a victim of rape or attempted rape before 25 Three out of five rapes occur before a woman reaches 18 People who fight off a rapist are more likely to stop the rape

Every two minutes a women is sexually assaulted… So during this presentation more than two women were sexually assaulted
