3.  33,310 (35671 in 2012) Road Traffic Injuries were reported in five tertiary Hospitals in 2013  1130 (1179 in 2012) Fatalities were reported - average of 94 per month.  JPMC received highest road casualties with 56% followed by Abbasi Shaheed Hospital 22%, & Civil Hospital 20%.  Rider / pillion rider involved in 64% injury and 49% Fatalities  Pedestrians were involved in 20% injury and 34% Fatalities – most threatened road user  86% of injured riders were not using Helmet.

4.  Over 4000 Children aged 15 or less were involved in road crashes, 12% of the road fatalities related to this age group.  In vehicle category Motorcycle involvement was more than 67% in Injury related trauma cases and 47% Fatal accidents.  Shahrah e Faisal & Korangi Road reported highest number of injuries with over 400 trauma cases.  National Highway (Urban Section) & Korangi Industrial Area Road were most dangerous reporting over 50 Fatal Cases.  Shahrah-e- Faisal was most road dangerous for Pedestrians with 6% fatal Cases.
