Suit Up Ephesians 6:10-20 The Strongest People Ephesians 6:10 2 Timothy 1:7 Ephesians 1:17-23 Sometimes I am Weak 2 Corinthians 12:9

Ephesians 6:10-20 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

Ephesians 6:10-20 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place,

Ephesians 6:10-20 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Ephesians 6:10-20 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel,

Ephesians 6:10-20 for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.

Ephesians 6:10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.

2 Timothy 1:7 For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.

Ephesians 1:17-23 I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints,

Ephesians 1:17-23 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength, which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms,

Ephesians 1:17-23 far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.

2 Corinthians 12:9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

Suit Up Take Your Stand Ephesians 6:11 It is time to take your stand and fight back. The devil’s schemes John 10:10

Ephesians 6:11 Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.

John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

Suit Up Who am I fighting? Ephesians 6:12 Struggle: to contend with an adversary or opposing force. Contend: to strive in rivalry The Adversary 1 Peter 5:8

Ephesians 6:12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

Suit Up Still Standing Ephesians 6:13 Prepare for battle before the day of evil comes. Satan shows up when it’s inconvenient. Matthew 4:1-3

Ephesians 6:13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

Matthew 4:1-3 Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the desert to be tempted by the devil. After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.”

Power Suit Belt and Breastplate Ephesians 6:14 Truth as a Belt John 14:6 Righteousness as a Breastplate 2 Corinthians 5:21

Ephesians 6:14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place,

John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

2 Corinthians 5:21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

Power Suit Fitted and Ready Feet Ephesians 6:15 God made peace with us Romans 3:21-26

Ephesians 6:15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.

Romans 3:21-26 But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

Romans 3:21-26 and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished—

Romans 3:21-26 he did it to demonstrate his justice at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.

Power Suit Shield Ephesians 6:16 Faith as a Shield Hebrews 12:2 Romans 10:17

Ephesians 6:16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.

Hebrews 12:2 Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Romans 10:17 Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ.

Power Suit Helmet and Sword Ephesians 6:17 Salvation as a Helmet Romans 10:9-10 The Word of God as the Sword John 1:14 Hebrews 4:12

Ephesians 6:17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Romans 10:9-10 That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.

John 1:14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

Power Suit Just Keep Praying Ephesians 6:18 Fearless Declaration Ephesians 6:19-20

Ephesians 6:18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.

Ephesians 6:18 Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.
