Guard the Trust Many banks and foundations have a “trust dept.” or “trust fund” to care for the assets of others God has given us several sacred trusts (deposits) Our attitude should be one of “guarding the trust” at all cost (1 Tim. 6:20; 2 Tim. 1:12,14) “Committed” is from paratheke meaning a deposit, a trust, or a thing consigned to one's faithful keeping, to be held firmly and faithfully

5. Guard the Trust A trust teaches us the surpassing value what is put in trust. The trust is worth whatever it takes to guard it. A trust teaches us the identity of the possessor (God) who places the trust. Nobody has a right to alter what God places in trust. A trust teaches us the sacred, solemn, and serious charge of guarding it.
