Why do they have a retail department? 0 As Thorpe park is viewed as a treat for many of their guests, so many people want to add to their day by purchasing additional items at the park to use on the day and to take away with them to remember their trip. What is retail? Retail is the sale of goods directly to the consumer

Retail units 0 The retail department at Thorpe park consists of nine shops, four barrows and three queue line kiosks throughout the park. The shops range in size and offering from small sweet shops to Thorpe park mega stores. These all offer a huge selection of confectionary and merchandise to suit every budget. Also there are stations to buy fast track and also to use sales and promotion. Retail training To meet the high expectation of guest service, and provide great service to our guests, each member of the retail team undergoes specific training. Training includes: Customer service and commercial induction Specific unit training for their base store Cash handling and till training Retail food handling training and health and hygiene Health and safety training Equipment training and manual handling
