4. History The first written record is from 1227 – the command of King P ř emysl Otakar I to build a Gothic castle. 1609 Zikmund from Tiefenbach – reconstruction into a Renaissance chateau. 1734 Count Maxmilián Daun inherited the estate and rebuilt it in Baroque style.

5. Current status of the building Since1992 has been under reconstruction. 2006 shortly opened to the public. Now inaccessible due to renovations. Since 2012 – the place is being changed into a sanatorium for war veterans with a military museum. The current owner – the town Jemnice.
