Important information: You must earn an “A” or “B” in English to be considered for a Foreign Language at Palisades HS or at other high schools as well. Do your best in the fall and spring. There will be a high school placement test at the end of the year for Palisades HS.

8 TH Grade Awards Ceremony Mark E Award: Students who have earned eleven or more E’s (for excellence) in both Work Habits and Cooperation, with no D’s, F’s, or U’s on the Fall 2011-2012 semester report card. Marksman Award: Students who have earned a 3.5 – 4.0 grade point average, with no D’s, F’s or U’s on the Fall 2011-2012 semester report card. Principal’s List: Students who earned a 3.8 - 4.0 grade point average and all E's for excellence in both Work Habits and Cooperation with no D's or F's on the Fall 2011-2012 semester report card. Perfect Attendance Award: Students with perfect attendance for five consecutive semesters at Revere. Five Semester Marksman Award: Students who earned the Marksman Award for five consecutive semesters at Revere. Department Awards: Students nominated by the faculty who have shown excellence in a particular subject area. Amy Alcott: Amy Alcott was a former PE teacher at Revere and this award recognizes the most outstanding female athlete. Art Merryman: Art Merryman was a former PE teacher at Revere and this award recognizes the most outstanding male athlete. Principal’s Award: Two students nominated by the faculty who excel in both academics and leadership. AEE Award: Students who achieve a 4.0 grade point average, receiving all E's for Excellence in Work Habits and Cooperation over three years at Revere. Significant Achievement Award: Students nominated by teachers for making significant progress and achievement all three years at Revere. Fari Yashar Academic Excellence Award: Fari Yashar was an Assistant Principal at Paul Revere who established a scholarship for the top two students who achieve a 4.0 grade point average, receiving all E's for Excellence in Work Habits and Cooperation and scoring the highest on standardize d testing over three years at Revere. American Legion Award: Two students nominated by the faculty who have shown exemplary leadership within their class. Rotary Club of Pacific Palisades: Top award for two all-around outstanding students who were nominated by the faculty who have shown exemplary academics, citizenship and leadership within their class.
