Countable Nouns We normally use a/an before singular countable nouns: an apple a laptop a book

Countable Nouns We can use numbers (two or more) or some before plural countable nouns: five pencils forty students eleven friends

Countable Nouns We use singular or plural verbs with countable nouns. Our English classroom is new My mother’s parents are nice

Uncountable Nouns are things we can not count. food bread patience hair

Uncountable Nouns They have no plural form. chocolate juice milk water

Uncountable Nouns We always use singular verbs with uncountable nouns. Chocolate is delicious The foos is tasted My hair is long

Exception Some nouns can be either countable or uncountable There’s a hair in my soup! My hair is really long
