5. Sing, dance, and jump are all verbs. Verbs usually show actions. They show what someone or something is doing.

6. Jake eats pizza.

11. Verbs are in every sentence. No matter how short or how long, every sentence will have a verb.

13. Verbs can tell about things that are happening right now. They can also tell about things that happened before.

20. You can change most verbs from the present to the past by adding “ed” to the end. laugh = laughed climb = climbed

22. But some verbs don’t follow the rules. Some verbs are tricky. Try making up sentences using these tricky verbs.
