The United States of America is a ffederal constitutional consisting of fifty states and a federal district. The country is situated mostly in central North América, bordered by Canada to the north and Mexico to the south. The state of Alaska is in the northwest of the continent, with Canada to the east and Russia to the west across the Bering Strait. With 9.83 million square kilometers and with over 308 million inhabitants, is the third or fourth largest country by total area and the third largest by both land area and by population.

Flora and fauna United States is considered a megadiverse country: about 17,000 species of vascular plants live in the contiguous United States and Alaska, and over 1,800 species of flowering plants are found only in Hawaii, few of which grow in the continente.84 The country is home to over 400 species of mammals, 750 species of birds and 500 species of reptiles and anfibios.85 Here also have discovered more than 91,000 different kinds of insectos.86

U.S. Food The American cuisine is a mixture varied and interpreted something other national cuisines, this is so because it is a country created mainly of immigrants from different countries of Europe, Asia, Africa, and other countries. Might be called native cuisine of the Native American Indians and the rest is a fusion of different food cultures taken at different ends, first fast food is full of attractive marketing, on the other hand is the traditional food based on the old farming traditions of both cattle and sheep and goats.

We all know many of the traditions of the United States thanks to movies and TV series Countless movies showing the Christmas spirit in the United States. While Christmas is a religious celebration, it has also become a traditional date for shops and businesses. Most stores start selling gifts to more than two months on December 25. And so everything is full of red, green, lights and snowmen as Christmas décor.
