One passport sized photograph. One official copy of academic transcripts. If the applicant has already obtained a university degree, they should include a copy of this, along with the official academic transcript. A testimonial letter from a teacher written in Spanish/English. A 300 words essay or statement of purpose, signed and written in English or Spanish, explaining the reasons why the applicant wants to participate in the program. One copy of each document that speaks to the applicant’s language skills and any other additional merit.

The police report should be issued within six months prior to submitting the visa application. The medical clearance should indicate that “the applicant does not possess any mental or physical illnesses that will impair him/her from completing his/her duties as a language and culture assistant in Spain”. The deadline for submitting applications is 2 April, 2013.

Every applicant that obtains a scholarship will be notified individually by e-mail. The weekly requirement of the assistants is a minimum of 12 class hours (in some regions it could be up to 16 hours), all of which are spent assisting the classroom teacher with conversation activities and practising oral skills with students.
