3 The Sinner’s Destiny Judgment, Damnation, Condemnation Mt 12:36-37; 23:33; 2 Thess 2:11-12 The sinner will receive an unfavorable verdict- guilty! The sinner will be judged worthy of punishment and the Judge will pronounce the sentence of hell.

4 The Sinner’s Destiny Punishment, Divine Retribution, Payment of Penalty Heb 2:1-4; 10:26-31; Mt 25:41-46 How will the sinner escape? How much severer punishment will he deserve? The punishment is eternal- eternal fire!

9 The Proper Response to the Cross Can Change the Sinner’s Destiny Cross is power of God to salvation 1 Cor 1:18 Whoever believes in Him shall not perish Jn 3:16-18 Believer does not come into judgment, passed out of death into life Jn 5:24 Keep my word shall never die Jn 8:51 Believer will live if he dies; if lives- never die Jn 11:25-26 What “belief” involves Rom 10:9-10; 2 Pet 3:9; Mk 16:16 No condemnation for those in Christ Rom 8:1 Christians need the blood, too 1 Jn 1:7-9; 2:1-2; Acts 8:22
