16. Our Response: Repentance  Matthew 3:1-2 –  John: “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!”  Matthew 4:17 –  Jesus: “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”

17. Our Response: Repentance  Luke 13:3,5 –  “but unless you repent you will all likewise perish”  Luke 24:47 –  “repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations”

18. Our Response: Repentance  Acts 17:30 –  God “now commands all men everywhere to repent”  II Peter 3:9 –  “not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance”

19. Conclusion  What a great God that we serve.  A God that is longsuffering, desiring that we be saved.  Yet, we must be willing to repent.  Changing our lives to reflect Christ  STOP sinning & START living for God

20. Conclusion  In the first gospel sermon Peter preached a message of salvation, he preached repentance,  Acts 2:37-38 – (37) “What shall we do?” (38) “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins”
